Just look at the current Inuyasha craze.  ;-)

I'll be the first to admit that CN has fueled much 
of my recent anime interest.  I said as much a few 
years ago when I started collecting cels (diving 
head-first into the Tenchi fray).  Back then, I 
hypothesized that the sudden increase in Tenchi 
prices was due to CN, and a lot of folks tried to 
come up with more roundabout reasonings that 
involved the general world market.

Well, I've been on a hiatus for some months now, 
and when I returned, I noticed 2 things:
1) CN started airing Inuyasha daily for a while 
(now ended)
2) Every other post is about Inuyasha cels and the 
Inuyasha cels that have sat on dealer sites for 
years are now being snapped up

Heh.  If only we knew what they were going to 
spotlight next, we could stay ahead of the trend.
