I have appreciated and looked into cels for a 
while now, but just started to begin my 
collection. I have seen a lot of fan cels.  The 
Sailor Moon cel was pretty easy to identify as a 
nonproduction cel.  However, there are a lot of 
cels out there that are a lot more convincing. I 
think in the past, Mandarake had some problems 
because some cels proved to be fake.  How does 
a "newbie" protect themself from cons, and 
identify fan cels on non production cels?  Also, 
if it has an AIC stamp, is that just as 
meaningless as a item with a "certificate of 
authenticity"?
