it's true, they are human, and as someone who 
places deputy bids myself I can tell you it's not 
easy to catch everything all the time. unless all 
you do is run a deputy service, then you really 
have no excuse. but most deputies have other work 
they have to do simultaneously.

I have it in my policy that over weekends I can't 
guarantee I'll catch bid requests, so during 
weekdays I have been able to fulfill my requests 
every time with two exceptions I can recall. in 
these cases I did give the customers fee-free 
auctions the next time around. it didn't kill to 
do it, and it helped to make amends for the lost 
cel. I guess being a collector I can understand 
the agony. I don't think it should be offensive 
to the deputy if you ask for this, and if they 
react poorly to it, something is wrong.
