It's not new, but it totally depends on the 
seller.  They get to choose if they want their 
auction to have the Auto-Extension Feature of 
Death™ or not, unfortunately.

I don't care for it much myself, but such is 
life, I suppose.

I think as long as you bid within the last 5 
minutes, it won't extend.  I think 4 and under it 
adds another 5-10 minutes on.  I haven't used Y!J 
in awhile, so I'm more than likely wrong.
