Of course they cost less for the dealers than 
they are charging us.  They wouldn't be in 
business very long otherwise.  *g*  You do know, 
for example, that some things you buy from 
department stores for $50 probably only cost a 
buck to make?

If people bought the cels from the dealers at 
those prices, then they were not overpriced.  A 
collectible (whose worth is solely based on what 
people will pay for it) is only overpriced when 
no one is willing to pay that amount and it sits 
there for ages.
