Asus DVD player has a screen cap function.
For doing it with an external source, one of the 
most usefull program is the one that come with ATI 
graphic cards : It just put the pictures in a 
gallery in near real time and you can watch them 
and choose which ones to keep later. (But it works 
only with an ATI card)
