I had the same problem some time ago. I wanted a 
freeware to would allow me taking screencaps...

I found one called "Zoom Player" (or simply 
Zplayer). You should manage to downloads it for 
free easily.

This freeware is really great, now I use it all 
the time as it's much faster to execute than 
Windows Media Player on my tired computer.

Zplayer Help: to take a screen capture, 
press "Alt-F". It took me 30 minutes to find 
that last time :)
