I added www.cels.org and www.eu.animanga.com to 
IE's list of Restricted Sites ("Web sites that 
could damage your computer"), and it seems to be 
keeping all the crud at bay, while still letting 
me read and post.

You can find this in Internet Explorer -> Tools -
> Internet Options -> Security -> Restricted 
Sites (Web Sites that could potentially damage 
your computer) -> Sites -> Add

Seems to work well when this site is on the 
Restricted Site list.
