I used to sit up all night/morning waiting for
auctions to end, but I just don't have the time
anymore.  Now I place my max bid and let the chips
fall where they may.   This way, at least I know I
am going to pay only as much as my max bid, so
there is no tempation to go higher in a bidding war.
