There's a difference between insulting and low (Sat Jan 31 20:12:02 2004 )

Low offers don't bother me. I've even accepted
low offers on cels I didn't plan on selling
before, simply because I could tell the person
wanted the cel very badly. The worst thing I'll
ever tell a person is no, but I'll keep them in
mind if I change my mind in the future.

Insulting offers bother me.

Awhile ago, there was a Xelloss opening cel on
ebay. I had someone e-mail me that unless I
accepted an offer for my favorite and best 2-
eyes open backgrounded xelloss cel at almost
1/10 of what I paid, they would make sure to
bidwalk me on that auction as much as possible.
They also accused me of being a Xelloss cel hog
(not the only time I've heard this...) and that
it's selfish of me not to accept their offer --
since I have so many anyway and like everyone
else, am hiding my best cels off my site (also
not true).

That was insulting.

Now, some good came of this. Due to work, there
was no way I could bid in the last day of the
auction. So I contacted the seller and asked if
they had any cels like that... and I ended up
with my 2-eyes open Xelloss OP cel... different
sequence than the one that was on ebay, but much
better quality (it's eternally one of my
favorites). So if it wasn't for the insulting
person... I might have missed out on one of my
all-time favorite cels. And get this -- the
insulting person didn't even win that auction.
The only thing that gets me is that I could have
had two ;-) (Yeah, OK, I'm slayers obsessed...
what else is new?)

Look for the silver lining in any situation ^_^

- Karen
