Any image security feature, including this new
one on RS, is a joke, really. It's extremely
easy to defeat. Hit the PrintScreen key on the
keyboard, open up Photoshop, paste, crop, save.
Easy as pie. In fact, watermarking doesn't
really work either because you can just paint
text out with Photoshop's clone tool. Nobody
would know the watermark was ever there.
Sure, the slicer security now necessitates a
minute or so of work to reassemble the image, but
it isn't going to stop the people you want it to
stop. It only annoys honest folk who just want
to do benign things, like add a cel image to
their wishlist saying "one like THIS beauty!".
So why do we care whether or not someone borrows
a cel image to contribute it to a huge image
gallery, anyway? I've never understood the
paranoia.
