Why not? ^_^

Recently, I had my heart absolutely set on a 
wonderful pan cel of a rare character. I didn't 
know it at the time, but it was the A-1... and a 
friend of mine owns the A-2 END. ;o)

It was sitting on Ebay... sitting on Ebay... no 
one challenged... and then in the last five 
seconds, someone else snatched it up with a 
bigger bid than mine. The particular person who 
snatched it up collects "cute girl" cels from a 
million different categories, whereas the main 
portion of my collection is this particular 
series.

But because they were willing to pay at least 160 
yen more for it than I was, they ended up getting 
it, and it's perfectly right that they got it. By 
the same token, I have a few cels from a show 
I've never watched-- no one's licensed or 
fansubbed-- and I went out and bought some manga 
I can't read to find out about it. ;o)

But there's no level of worthiness to determine 
what quota of cels a person can collect, under 
what circumstances. No one can tell me, "You 
don't like SM as much as such-and-such; ergo, you 
cannot put in a bid on Evil Galaxia." If I want 
to, I do, and if I want to pay more for it than 
someone who wants it more but is slower/wants to 
pay less/whatever, I can. :o)

And sometimes, it's tough to accept, especially 
when *you're* the one who's on the "serious" side 
of a certain show. ^_^
