I'm guilty for buying cels from shows I haven't 
watched but as people have said before, I liked 
that particular cel or that character design. I 
can't really imagine, however, collecting a ton 
of cels from that show for that reason alone. 

To maybe modify your poll a bit -- what I think 
isn't the healthiest way to collect is to buy up 
cels of a character just because it's "hot" right 
now to do so. That just implies silly speculation 
or just trying to fit into with the crowd. It's a 
pointless act that drives up prices. The desire 
for the character will eventually cool off too. 

I know some people have mentioned before that 
they have caught updates with a much sought after 
character (with a good price to boot) and have 
passed on it -- to let others get it who'd want 
it more. (*puts on Pollyanna glasses*) I'd like 
to think that collectors do that ^^ (*takes off 
Pollyanna glasses*).
