The cel is marked as a reproduction cel, once,
and I had to look for it to find it. It's not a
very easy description to read. Like,
y'know 'this cel is this big, has one layer, no
background' then a few lines down 'reproduction
cel' is noted but by then you're looking at the
picture. Kindof 'strategic placing' if you get
the drift
When I do auctions I put 'repro' or 'fancel' in
the title then like four or five times in the cel
description, because I used to get people who
would bid on the cel, win, and then be
like 'what? that's a fancel? Really? Wow
could've fooled me. Oh, by the way, I don't
collect fancels, so do I still have to pay?'
The part that pisses me off is that I'm pretty
sure the cel was cropped to remove my signature,
which I explicity told the person when they
commissioned the cel I was putting on there so it
couldn't ever be confused for a real cel. So if
the person buys it and isn't sure it's real, and
then sells it off again as a real cel (and in
this particular series if they sold it off again
it might go for nearly $1,000)... Cel collectors'
worst nightmare.
I REALLY don't want that to happen... sigh.
