I can actually add to that. When doing the
watermark, put it on a super detailed area--it
doesn't have to be an important area, but a
section with a bunch of lines and/or different
colors is better. Drac's site is a good example
of that, because hers is the only image from the
scavenger hunt I wasn't able to *EASILY* remove
the watermark from in MSpaint (yes, in that basic
a program)
As for image protecting, right click disabling is
easy to get around...well, for me it is. I'm not
going to say how, but two good sites with
protection are Xelloss' site, because she
passwords access to her full-scans, and Kitt's
site, because her full scans pop up in individual
windows with the right click disabled, which
disables one of the 'easy to get around'
methods...
Oh, and if you have the option of password
protecting directories, that's a good thing too.
If you can password protect your image
directories, you should still be able to access
the images on non-passworded pages (with rt click
or some other kind of protection) but going
directly to the sources (once again, not going to
explain how) would be impossible.
^_^ Hope I wasn't too vague with the 'not going
to explain how' but I really don't want to give a
tutorial about getting around different forms of
website encryption.
(and NO, I learned this stuff years before I even
knew what a cel was, so don't start getting
paranoid) |
