I'm not very talkative on this forum either, but
I felt the need to respond. ^_^
I completely agree with you. A couple of weeks
ago a found a nice close-up of Lina Inverse, but
the price was a bit high. But I caved and bought
it anyway because of how stunning it was.
However, when I saw the cel in person I realized
that it really wasn't as great as I thought it
was and I couldn't believe that I had paid so
much for it. Now whenever I look at it I
think, "I paid $$$ for that?!?"
Saddened by my purchase, I went back on the Web
seeking new cels to fuel my fire (so-to-speak). I
found another great shot of Lina, again priced a
bit high, but I bought it anyway. Again, the same
thing happened: it arrived and was no where near
as nice as it had seemed when I purchased it.
Again, I look at it and think "I sold # cels for
this?!?"
*sigh* So in summary, yes, I have been in that
situation before. A couple of times now.
Recently. :( And it's heartbreaking! From now on
I will only offer/pay big bucks on cels that I
know are worth it, not just on something that I
want at the time or because I have money to burn.
I know we all get anxious in this hobby and
think "Well if I don't offer $$$ on cel # then
someone else will get it," but sometimes we just
should let it be. We've only got ourselves to
blame for our dissapointment! Not to mention that
we are driving up the market, too.
Anyway, considering how often I post on this
forum this should do me for about 3 months. ^_^
But hey, I'm always reading the forum so that
counts, right? |
