Word is okay for typing reports, but because of 
all the coding involved in, well, coding, I tend 
to avoid it for html as I hate all the 
autoformating that it forces on you.  I've always 
used notepad, and though it lacks replace or 
spellchecks, i've never had any problems like 
strange control characters.  I've found Textpad 
is a good editor to use as well (also good with 
Java, and I've used it with C programming as 
well).

As for cels, that's a very cute cel of Alliele!--
though it doesn't excuse the Frontpage 
factor.  ;)
