I never claimed to own any copyrights. I own the
cel and took the time to scan it in. That's all.
No one "infringed" on anything (frankly, in the
most literal sense every anime-related website
that is made by fans for fans infringes on the
original creator, producer, etc. copyrights in
some manner of speaking; that's why we all put
disclaimers) but when I specifically say "do not
take anything from this site without permission",
I'm sorry but I expect common courtesy and proper
netiquette to take precedence over selling a VCD
with a pretty cover.
And honestly, if this person had emailed me even
a one-sentence mail that said, "Hey, pretty good
site. May I use a picture?" I'd be flattered and
say, "Sure!" But just to up and swipe it takes
nerve!
I'm not flaming anyone or trying to start an
arguement thread here, I have just had enough of
people helping themselves to things on my sites
(which I do pay money for as well since I have my
own domains... I make no profit from ANYTHING, by
the bye... this was all suppose to be for fun)
when I expressly say "ASK FIRST". O_o
My qualm has nothing to do with ownership,
copyrights or money. Just common decency. Is that
too much to ask?
Sorry to come off snippy, but with my "GX" site,
this marks the SIXTH time something in part or
whole has been stolen or copycated, so I'm a tad
touchy...
Thanks.
