Hi Mina-san!
I can understand you being upset over having one
of your previous cels that you thought would be
treasured and put in a good home, only to be sold
on ebay later....
I personally have obtained a few nice cels thru
the Offer method from some nice people willing to
part with them and I have NO INTENTION on
reselling them....
Not everyone is like the people you mentioned...
There are people out there who truly offer
because they want that cel or its a "dream cel".
Its only sad if they beg and plead you to sell
and then re-sell it - its bad, its wrong but its
life.. If they purchase the cel they can
literally do what they want with it.. like it or
not, even if it was sold under false pretenses...
There are alot of people out there who are in it
just to make $$$ and arent true collectors..
I guess this is one of the 'bad' aspects of this
hobby. Although, you may have to consider the
fact that some people who may have purchased cels
from you or others then resold because they
truely couldn't afford it in the first place..
Im sure everyone here knows what cel collecting
does to their wallets :P
I think that if you spend that much time and
effort to email, beg and plead someone to take
your offer, usually, the people that do so truely
want the cel for their own collection
For me its hard and awkward enough to go and
bother someone and email them to make an offer.
Most of the time the Collectors, unless they are
in dire need of funds, aren't willing to part
with certain cels unless you make them an truly
outrageous offer anyway...
I have made offers for cels because I figured
what the heck, its worth a try and the worse you
can say is No ! :)
Just my opinion :)
