Warning - a little ranting about being a seller (Mon Apr 2 19:14:40 2001 )

I really hate being a seller. Not only does it
mean having to part with something, but it means
having to deal with some of the gems e-bay
dredges up.

I know this is next to nothing compared to what
some people have gone through, but it just builds
up to the point you want to vent a little and get
that hint of reassurance that you are not alone
=)

Take this little example. Someone paid me via
bidpay and never bothered to respond to any of my
e-mails. So, I shipped out her items to the
address furnished by bidpay. Well, they came back
as "return to sender" Several e-mail attempts
later, she sends us the right address but doesn't
want to pay for shipping a second time.

It's not my fault that she was an idiot! My
sister is a lot nicer than I am about it, and it
was her stuff we sold, but I want her to stick to
her guns. I mean, I'd be expected to pay for
shipping twice if I gave someone the wrong
address. Shouldn't I expect the same?

I know it's not the end of the world, but
shipping isn't cheap, and it's especially painful
if you've got shell out the couple of bucks when
you were selling stuff in the first place because
you needed the money to continue to feed your cel
addiction.

Anyone else out there have these kinds of
troubles? I mean, you already ahve to specify
everything and it's brother in your auction,
should I have posted "you give me the wrong
address to ship to and you have to pay for
shipping again to the right address?"
