I swear, Walt Disney would be turning in his 
grave if he could see the recycled garbage his 
studio is putting out today. The man was beyond a 
pioneer in his field--first to use color, 
music/action sync, realism in movement...the list 
continues on and on! I'm still blown away every 
time I see an old "Silly Symphony."

Nowadays, though, these films are put out for 
profit, not the sake of the art. Ghibli has a 
committment to making high quality films, 
regardless of price or amount of time. Today's 
Disney, on the other hand, is just pumping out an 
animated feature each year to ensure marketing 
$$.
