i love to analyse animes; and in a disscusion w/
my english teacher; the best is record of lodoss
war; the concept of the gray witch, the concept
of a good great guy that happens to be on the
wrong side, the true deffinion of evil (is marmo
bad or is the gray witch bad?; technicly shes
worse even though she takes no allegaince;[i hate
when people campare it to d&d; its backdrop is
the same but it grows so much form d&d(ever see
the cartoon for d&d it sucks in comparision to
lodoss{my opinion})] i an working on a full
analysis of the ovas and have the first episode
done so far here is an excerpt what do you
think? :
FEEDBACK WOULD TELL ME IF I SHOULD DO THE
REST OF THE MOVIE IN THIS MEATHOD AND POST IT ON
THE NET; WHAT DO YOU THINK
This scene is set much latter during the movie.
It is shown first to show the viewer most the
main characters and their relationship with one
another. First is the scene between Deedlit and
Ghim. Apparently, elves so not like dwarves. Then
we see that Deedlit is a childish elf (she’s the
youngest high elf at the age of 160 years). She
gets into trouble due to this behavior. However,
at the same time she is one of the most
intelligent of the group, due to her upbringing.
In situations that call for her maturity, she
becomes very mature. She apparently likes Parn,
but he does not show much affection back to her,
which upsets her. Since she is an elf, she is the
quickest of the group, and thus easily dodges the
dragon. Woodchuck is a thief and that’s all one
can say about him. Slayn is wise and probably the
second oldest (after Deedlit). He is mostly calm
and collected. He also possesses very powerful
magic. Etoh is a priest and tries to get everyone
to get along. Ghim is a dwarf who doesn’t like
elves, but recognizes their role is important in
society. In comparison to Parn, he is more level
headed. He waits for an opportune time to attack
the dragon, and does considerable damage. Parn
just continues to do nothing but ‘poke’ the
dragon until he manages to get an opening and
slay it. Parn is the leader, but he lacks
experience and is not very intelligent.
Of the other characters, Wort is old and
does not care much about the happenings of the
world, but observes it through his crystal ball.
Karla is a “gray which” and possesses one of the
most unique roles in the movie, which will be
come apparent as time progresses. King Fann seems
to be the classical good old king, but not much
is revealed about him. King Kashue, whose name is
not mentioned, (he is the man in the blue cape
with a small beard and mustache) also does not
have much revealed about his role in the story.
Finally, all one hears of Thesius is that he is
father of Parn.
