I'm pretty sure most any anime cel collector 
would take offense to this statement. Most 
collectors DO put a lot of money into 
their collection, myself included. Not one of us 
would say that it's a waste, it's what we like to 
collect and it's what we enjoy. Kero really likes 
collecting cels of Kero (does that sound weird?) 
because it's a character that he/she really 
likes. Just because you personally don't like a 
series or a character doesn't mean that everyone 
else feels the same way as you.

You've named all of the series that just so 
happen to be on Cartoon Network ... trust me, 
those aren't the only great anime series in 
existence. I personally really enjoy CCS, plus 
there's Escaflowne, NGE, Battle Athletes, Ah! 
Megamasami, Rurouni Kenshin, Blue Seed, Devil 
Hunter Yohko,  and hundreds of others ...that's 
one of the great things about cel collecting (and 
collections): there's so much variety.
