Almost do not know if I should answer, but yes I 
did get a sketch from him. In fact I got 2.

Mostly, in regards to getting sketches, asking 
politely and good timing seem to be the most 
critical. In the case of Kia I just hit him at a 
very slow part of the con. It also didn't hurt 
that I knew most of the people running the con 
(was a member of TAAS for a couple of years).
