Often I'll leave staples in, but sometimes - especially if
the cel layers are very stuck (and thus stay together, lined
up, anyway) - I'll remove the staples so to prevent damage
to the bag or book I store the cel in.

In cases where a *pencil sketch* is stapled to a cel (very
frequently with my Psychic Force cels), I will always remove
the sketch from the cel regardless of if I leave the staples
in the cel itself. In cases where a cel is stapled to a
background, usually I'll leave the staples in, but slip a
piece of cel bag between the background and the cel.
