I for one have not heard of people not wanting to 
put their collection up... ? The three obvious 
reasons for not putting one up are 1) lack of 
resources, 2) lack of motivation, 3) lack of pride 
in one's collection ^_-

The way I look at personal on-line galleries is 
thus: a given cel collector has equal or inequal  
parts sadist and masochist. ^_^ We want to 'share' 
our collections with the world and promote some 
kind of envy, while we constantly subject 
ourselves to the same longing by visiting other 
galleries. Sort of a never-ending cycle. So if 
your sadist side is stronger, you'll definitely 
want to put up all your cels, etc. (j/k!)

The only "practical" real-world reason why I 
wouldn't want to put my cels up is, if my cels 
are particularly valuable, for instance, there is 
the chance of the images being stolen - perhaps 
for fraudulent use (as more recent news about eBay 
might suggest). Of course, if you don't want 
ANYONE to download your images for any reason, 
then you shouldn't put up a gallery at all. .. 

*shrug* I'd say I'm equal parts sadist/masochist.
