Gimme a break - I lived for two years in a country where English was nowhere near as common as it is in Japan. Please don't give me the ugly american speech - I'm not one, never will be one, and resent it being implied. Secondly, I never said that anything had to change (although it would be nice if it did). I was just giving my opinions, and pointing out that many americans are doing the exact same things that you claim are impossible for the japanese to do. Well, maybe not impossible, but you accuse me, and others, of being rude for simply wishing they would do the same things we do, ie. make it easier for everyone to bid on items. Why is it rude for me to wish that everyone treated their customers the same, whether their dealers or private collecters (as I am) Finally, I have a right to look at whatever I want to, and wish for whatever I want. Also, I never said it was impossible to bid on Japan Yahoo cels, just very hard to find those who will ship internationally! I look at them all because there is always the chance that the cel I want can be shipped to me, or that I can find someone to buy it on commission. (BTW - I completely agree that it would be rude to ask someone to pick up a cel for you, and then turn around and sell it for more, unless this was known to everyone in advance). A final thought - world economics isn't just going to go away. Some countries' behaviors may raise prices in another country, while some may lower prices. You can't just ignore the fact that there is a world outside your own country, or that the world should go out of its way to treat you specially just because of the country you live in! And doesn't every person deserve to get as much as they can for their merchandise/products, etc, etc?? Try reading up on supply and demand sometime - you'll notice (maybe) that it doesn't take nationalities into effect! Az |
