Trying to maintain the politeness as well...

1. Although you find not being able to bid on Yahoo Japan
auctions frustrating, do you believe that being able to
purchase cels there is a right? If you know you can't
obtain the cels, why do you bother to look and give yourself
something to lament?

2. Just because _you_ will ship internationally, as well as
some of the dealers, doesn't mean that a Japanese seller on
Yahoo Japan, often a private collector and not a dealer, has
to do the same. Many times, it is so they can avoid the
hassle of dealing with foreign languages.
So, you've received some emails in poor English. But they
were at least in somewhat comprehensible English, which is
supposedly the "universal" language and it's gotten to the point
where foreign collectors think that they can force (for lack of
a better word) their language on another culture. Well, I don't
see how that is fair. The average Japanese doesn't know
enough English to give you the time of day. And if you ever went
to Japan, you'd see the majority of them are 'uncomfortable'
with someone speaking English coming up to them. I'm sure
some of you have heard the stories of Japanese people running
away when they see someone approaching them speaking, say, English.
Do you think, given that, that they would be more willing to
conduct transactions over the Internet in a foreign language
and stay around long enough to figure out how to work an IPMO?

Then there's the issue of some of those Japanese sellers being
collectors. I know several of them, who have seen cels they
bidded on for other people or were actually purchased by the
foreigner (that the seller was willing to do) only to
have the cel pop up very soon thereafter on an American site
marked up to 200% of its original value! They were upset by
this, as well as annoyed by the price hikes in Yahoo Japan which
would never have occurred with foreign intervention.

I'm not trying to be rude here. Just trying to point out
some issues that you may or may not have been aware of.
The bottomline is: if you can't bid on it, it's better not
to even bother looking and torturing yourself over the cels
you can't have....
