Why do we all have to go through this AGAIN??
If you can't even read enough to register, it is NOT
suggested that you bid on Yahoo Japan.
It even says so very clearly IN ENGLISH on the Yahoo Japan's
instructions page.
Quote taken directly from Yahoo's site guidelines:

"In order to be able to participate in Yahoo! Auctions,
1. you must be able to read, write, and fully understand
Japanese"
How do you plan on communicating with the sellers along with
the fact that countless numbers of them WILL NOT SHIP
INTERNATIONALLY!
PLEASE! If you can't communicate in Japanese or get someone
in Japan to help you out, don't bid! If something as simple
as registering is beyond your comprehension, think of the
impossibility of reading an auction's rules and descriptions.
If something goes wrong, you won't be able to complain to the
seller who likely will not understand and ignore you.
The fact is, Yahoo Japan instituted that language rule to
prevent their sellers from being harassed by foreigners or
having to be forced to deal with someone they can't understand.
Many times, the sellers cancel bids placed by foreigners, but
at the same time, increase their asking price when they restart
their auction because they think based on the foreigner's
willingness to bid high sums, they can get away with charging more.
All that happens is that their items go unsold and they eventually
lower their asking price (if no more foreigners interfere), but
it's a huge waste of time that the transaction could otherwise
have been concluded if not for the intervention of certain people.
All those people who can't understand enough Japanese to
even fill out the forms, are not allowed, as per YAHOO JAPAN'S
RULES to bid. It really annoys me to see people asking
questions like these, in blatant ignorance of what has been
clearly specified on Yahoo's site.
Come on, do your homework and don't try for something which
is not only an inconvenience to yourself, but others as well.
Just because you crave the items you see there, doesn't give
you license to do what you like and ignoring the rules. |
