I've always thought that cel begging was a bit. . . misguided? Think about it. If you're so desparate for the cel that you would beg for it (ignoring any people who beg for every lost cel), it's most likely something awesome and chances are it's intended for a private collection. Or if it's not awesome, it's of an impossible to find character. It's also a bit annoying - at least to see so much of it. If it only happened once in a while, that would be one thing, but when we can tune in to see four different begging threads. . . (*shrug*) At least sometimes they turn into legitamate discussions about something else related. ^_^ That can be fun. What I think might be more effective, would be to ask if someone has or has seen a *similar* cel. If one cel dealer has/had cels from a scene, it probably means there is more of the scene out there in the hands of a different dealer. . . The trick is to watch and find out who. ^_- As for e-mailing eBay buyers, I really sympathize with the person who said they get multiple e-mails from losing bidders. The only time I think it's appropriate to e-mail about an auction I didn't win is if the reserve wasn't met. In that case I e-mail the seller *only* and ask (if I'm the high bidder) for the reserve and if he'll sell it at that or (if I'm not the high bidder) if he will please contact me should the high bidder not be interested in buying the item at reserve. End of line. Anything more and I'd feel rude. Many Sharp Smiles, --Drac |
