Interesting. The window cleaner (the clear-blue water type)
I use works perfectly well and has never damaged any of my 
cels. It's just a generic brand from the local drug store 
and it says specifically on the label that you can use it on
smooth plastic surfaces (and yes, it does contain ammonia 
but it doesn't say to what degree). I guess if you are not 
sure, it's always wise to test whatever solvent you are 
using on a "test cel" before applying it to the real thing.
