Another reason someone may add a background that does not
match to a cel, is to maybe show parts of the cel that
would not show up otherwise. Below is a cel I have of
Tamahome, and it has white streaks that show the
action. However without a background, you can't see
them. So I added my own. True it is the cel itself that
is the real beauty and reason that you buy it in the
first place, but I feel a background can only enhance
it, so why not? I'm adding a background to a cel I am
recieving soon, because I plan on getting it framed. I
feel it will present it better if it has scenery behind
it that reflects the scene, thus the characters would
seem more real. We buy cels for the art, but for the
characters too, right? Just my two-cents. Everyone have
