Ani-Bob If you check out Ebay's rules the lower the opening bid and lower the reserve the cheaper the rate for posting. I know I would not want to take a loss, but I am cheap and don't want to take a loss on an auction. I took a loss on a Moldiver off Ebay. My opening bid was about $10 and I wouldn't part for less than $30 ( a loss for me anyways) I paid close to $50, but if I set the start price at $50 or even $30 I guarantee no one would have bought. I'm fed up with auctions myself and won't sell my stuff that way again, and I won't buy stuff unless I LOVE it. I just lost out by $2.50 off a Dirty Pair cel..I'd looked for a cel like that for YEARS..and lost by $2.50 in the last seconds of the auction..now THAT is cruel..bidding at the last second..but I cant fault. I'd do the same.. Ebay is the best way to reach out to a wide audience though . I commend all whom were able to get $500 for a crappy Sailor Moon cel...no one held a gun to those buyer's heads . If someone wants to sell on Ebay don't fault them.. Just don't bid if you disagree witht eh whole concept. And its not "baiting" because it says right on the auction "Reserve auction" And if you can't figure out what would even be close to the reserve you should research more. I coulda told you that Deed would PROBABLY have a reserve around $100. I wouldn't pay $100 for it..but hey..I just didn't bid even though I did think it was nice. Just chill out. And stay away from auctions and Japanese cel dealers and other potentially offensive places. Maybe you should just never set foot out of Texas (though I hate to break it to you but people from Texas sell on E-Bay too) -Tabi-chan |
