Unfortunately, I've heard the same thing lately -
and how awful would that be for cel addicts?  It would
drive the prices up of remaining cels... like we
need that, too.  :P

However, when you look at the amount of work it takes
to create an animated film through painting cels -
it would make perfect sense for companies to want to
cut their time and physical labor by switching to
computer animation.
