I love having the original background with a cel, and
unless the cel has great composition on its own I do prefer
having the background with it.
As for laser backgrounds, lately I have begun to add them
to some of my cels to improve the image. I used to hate
doing this but I find my desire to have a complete -although
not entirely accurate- image is stronger than my values
concerning the original set-up. I mean only one person out
there will get the original set-up for one scene, so why
wait around hoping to get it when I can do something for
my cel's presentation right now? Sometimes the original
background owner will even be nice enough to spot my cel
(and its funky weird background which I have added :p) and
offer to run off a laser copy of the original. Thats always
nice!
Thats just my opinion, and I KNOW others have differing
ideas from me :) It is a personal question about what we
are each looking for in our collections .... |
