Well, sometimes the seller doesn't know there's
been chipped paint. On some of my cels, when I
try lifting the layers...Just one hint of
sticking, I don't try lifting any
further...Especially on older cels. As far as
faded trace lines go...If it's a major change
from what you saw in the original image...Then
I'd ask the seller about it...But, you have to
understand that...Lines DO fade...There is no
stopping it really. And...Sometimes studios
actually do that in the production process for
the effect they want on the cel.
All-in-all...If you're happy with the cel...It's
all good. And if the damage isn't major...I
wouldn't worry too much about it...And I do have
to agree with the other poster...You buy the cel
as is in a scan...Sometimes the seller doesn't
know that condition of the cel...And to of really
know...Asking questions before hand would have
been the best route to go.
Don't worry...You're not alone...one of my most
expensive cels...Peaking around $1k...I bought
and when I received it in the mail had the
background colors leaking through the top of the
cel...Something you can't get rid of...And
something that's MAJORLY visible. But...I bought
it without asking any questions...So I'm stuck
with it...My fault for not asking questions is
what I've come to conclude >. |
