What you own, owns you in the end... (Sun Oct 31 00:09:07 2004 )

"Well in all honesty, if you are spending more
than you are saving & you spend so quickly, you
might want to reassess your habits."

Couldn't agree more, but tell a junkey to stop
drugs...

"I've come to a point in my life where I
appreciate having less material possessions and
things. The phrase the things you own end up
owning you strongly apply to your ituation."

Painfully true - I was much happier in those
empty ryokan rooms in Japan than in
my "warehouse where there was a war". But yes..
they do possess me and I can hardly break loose :
(
I envy you and I'd like very much to achieve
that, too.

Yeah.. you're absolutely right. I often tidy up
my room with 2 garbage bags in my hand to throw
away whatever I don't hold dear, but then: "Oh,
this may still turn out useful!", "OH, the
memory!", "Oooh, did I own this??",...

Another creepy aspect is my buying TIME:
evening, night.... when my brain is tired and
bad working... Such nocturnal purchases are
usually the ones that end up on eBay 2 weeks
after^^;;

I wish I could change, honestly. This room is
a "high-quality dump".

This has gotten completely off-topic, but isn't
OT what's most interesting? Sorry, I lack rest,
so I philosophy over irrelevancies...
