...I can understand if he just didn't want other
people taking credit for the desktops he'd
created (and I do say created, because it did
require use of the creative process. It's nearly
inmpossible to create an anime wallpaper that
isn't "derivitave" of the original anime since
you are using images from it, and no one claims
they drew/made those images; however, what each
person does with that image I do credit to them),
however, that's a BIT much. I edit wallpapers
from people's sites to use on my computer all the
time, since my icons are on the left side and
people who create anime wallpapers have this
fixation for putting the images on the left
side...would he bust me for that? Really, I think
it all comes down to what people claim they own;
however, you are right, there are a lot of grey
areas.
