Must say I like yaoi, although I've not had
nearly the exposure to it that I'd like. Also I
don't mind the tenacle thing - I think its
hilarious.
From a vaguely psychological perspective - in my
college course in human sexuality one of the
things we learned is that actually a large
percentage of women have erotic daydreams about
being raped. Does this mean they WANT to be raped
or that they in any way, shape, or form support
it? HELL NO!!!! Of course not. There is one huge
difference between being raped and having erotic
thoughts about it: CONTROL.
When a woman has a daydream about it, roleplays
it, watchs hentai, or whatever, they are
completely in control. They are not being harmed,
they are not being forced into anything. This
allows them to view it as erotic rather then as a
gross violation of their beings.
Makes sense to me! And it provides an explanation
to behaviors that would seemingly be contrary to
one another.
