since I am a PPPPOOOOOOORRRRRR college student and 
can only afford maybe a few cels from that series 
at a time, I ONLY collect my absolute favorite 
characters from each series.  As for the other 
character (ie Nuriko, Hotohori), I had never 
really liked them as much as I do other characters 
and it completely blows my mind as well to see a 
cel of Nuriko sell for $1850 because I personally 
did not like the character.  But, then again, you 
would expect to pay that much for Amiboshi/Suboshi 
(if not mroe) and I wouldn't think too many people 
have these on their "FAVORITES" list, but then 
again, I could be wrong . . . 
I guess it is more for the thrill of the chase 
than for the popularity.  EX - Chichiri/Tasuki 
have been voted the most popular characters, but a 
Nuriko cel would go more since he/she is 
just a bit harder to find.
