Hi Blueheaven ^-^,
How are you? Fine I hope.
There is no venting. Not meant to be personal.
Your cel find has nothing to do with it.
You were lucky and that is a good thing. I am
happy for you. What else can I say?
We all have our sources and we use them to
the best of our ablities. Some people use
their time in different ways. Shortcuts are one
of them. Maximizing your time by collecting
information withou using your own resources
in a minimum amount of time and effort is
effective for the person that decides to go the
"lazy" route. Nothing at all that can be done
about it. So why fret?
And giving away URL`s is not a bad thing, in
and of itself, if you are helping someone find a
cel on an auction that is perhaps not popular
from my point of view, to that limited extent. E-
mailing them would probably be better, but
beyond that what could anyone do?
>"when someone recently posted
looking for Grave of the Fireflies cels, I
replied to the post not with a URL, but simply
telling them that there were some on YJ."<
If you decided to tell them it`s on Yahoo, what
is the big difference? You might as well have
given them the URL. It`s just spiltting hairs.
I totally agree with Yann`s comments. "Not
flooding the board with posts"
Hypothetically, If someone posted a URL to a
cel that I was hoping to keep low and secret, I
would be disappointed, you are right. But, I
would I would also know that I am
participating in a public auction and reading
public cel boards, and in "the public" those
things just happen. This is the life! There is no
one to strike out in anger at.
I try to be mature enough to deal with the
consequences without blaming someone for
posting information in a public place. I would
be wasting my time in cyberspace in any case.
Shouting out into the dark void like an
imbecile. I may have lost some money or even
the cel and disappointed, but not angry
because someone else, informed someone
else of what I know too. It is a ridiculous
argument in my point of view...that is the greed
that I meant. Not monetary greed--information
hoarding...its a joke in a public place.
If this were some private place with rules, and
regulations, and dues, then I could clearly
understand your point of view on the issue.
But otherwise, it seems to me like a losing
battle. That is because we do not have power
to control the situation no matter how upset or
annoyed that we may become.
