I don't think greed is an issue. When I found the
cel, I emailed several people about it. And if
you'll notice, when someone recently posted
looking for Grave of the Fireflies cels, I
replied to the post not with a URL, but simply
telling them that there were some on YJ.
Honestly, what is so difficult about searching
the internet for cels? If you had found your
dream cel on YJ, bid on it, and then someone were
to post the URL on this board, you can't honestly
tell me that you wouldn't be upset if you got the
cel for $300 instead of $50. If someone is
looking for a cel, they can do what the rest of
us do, check the auction sites, dealer updates
and gallery sales. And I honestly think that you
went a little overboard in your broad and
sweeping overstatement of the intent of my post.
I don't mind it when someone beats me to the
punch on cels. Happens all the time. But I also
appreciate those moments when I am the first on
the scene for a cel or the only one in the know.
The fact is, anyone who followed the series could
have bid on that URT cel, but noone did. The cel
collecting game is 50% luck and 50% money. First
you have to be lucky enough to find the cel
first, and then you have to have to have the
dinero to buy it. All I am saying, and I believe
this was the point of ack's post as well, is to
keep these posts in the correct thread. If
someone asks if there is a particular cel
available, then simply point them in the
direction of YJ. They can do the rest. It's not
rocket science.
