(a) they do not send an email confirming your bid
(b) they email you if you won, they do not email 
you if you lost
(c) if you won, they email you the next day or 
very, very soon after the auction ends
(d) they charge you your max bid.  it doesn't 
matter if the next runner up is 5,000 yen, they 
will charge you 20,000 yen if your max bid is 
20,000 yen.
(e) they sometimes don't write the address 
correctly...then you are in bad luck
