people bidding on them won't finish early... but 
in the case of this auction that I was going to 
bid on later tonight, was just that.  2 people 
placed a bid on it a few days ago, I placed a 
bid yesterday but was outbid by one of the 
bidders.  I didn't want to drive up the price 
right away, so I was going to wait until today 
to give my max bid.  =P  So that's really why 
I'm upset that it ended sooner than it should 
have.  But I completely agree that the seller 
does reserve the right to end auctions early if 
he wants to.  Just wish it didn't have to be 
over a wishlist and very rare cel!!  I guess if 
you want something really badly, you'll have to 
ask the seller to end the auction early 
yourself!!!  =P
