Ok.. first of all, there is absolutely NO reason 
for ANY teacher/professor.. whoever it is to 
insult you like that.. ESPECIALLY in front of 
an... INTERVIEWER?!?!!

I would consult the Dean about this *immediatly* 
And avoid this teacher at all costs.. at least 
try not to take another class taught by her. 
There is no excuse for treatment like that, and 
it is a profs DUTY to provide *constructive* 
criticism, and help the student with their 
weakness (if it is present).

Also, I would not take her bitching to heart. She 
obviously wasn't cut out for teaching or 
understanding art, so I wouldn't take her opinion 
very seriously. Roy Lichtenstein was insulted by 
critics that said "he is the worst painter I've 
ever seen", and people threatened to destroy his 
paintings. (He is one of the main contributors to 
the Pop Art movement, and created the "comic 
book" paintings). Food for thought ^_~
