Well, let's see. . . The first one I saw in a
theatre was Lady and the Tramp, but I know it was
one of the rereleases. (I'm not THAT old!! *grin
and sweatdrop* ^_~) The second was Jungle Book,
on it's first rerelease. I don't remember how old
I was for either.
But then, I never claimed to be the first Disney
fan ever. ^_^
"Cookie cutter plot outlines". . . That's a
perfect phrase for it. Unfortunately, even the
characters are interchangable in many cases. o_0;;
On the other hand, I don't remember ever being
scared by Disney. I don't scare easily. The only
Disney thing that effected me badly was a short
about an old windmill. I don't even remember what
exactly happened in it (and would have to look up
the title), but it gave me several bad dreams.
Not really nightmares, but more like a product
of. . . depression? I don't know how to explain
it better. Once when I was in college, my older
sister even told me that my entire personality
changed slightly after I saw that. My parents
never let me see the short again. I really should
find and rewatch it now that I'm an adult to see
if I can tell what triggered such a bizarre
reaction to it.
