I don't think I'm addicted, but if I am, I'm
having too much fun to stop. *g*

I've been collecting cels on and off for-- oh,
about six years now. I'm not a hard core collector
by any means; my buying tends to go in cycles.
Months and months can pass without my buying any
cels because I've become distracted with something
else or I haven't wandered across any cels that
I've liked for their price.

My collection is probably worth a pretty penny at
this point, but then again, it has been six years.
And if I wasn't collecting cels, I'd be collecting
something else. I do collect other things too, but
my cel collection is my most beloved. And my most
compact, which is also very nice. I've been a
student the entire time I've been collecting, so I
haven't the ability to go out and splurge on
really high priced items like some other people
can afford to do. (I crave one perfect Charlotte
cel from VHD2. As the quality I crave will
probably set me back $1000+, it'll be awhile
before I get her. *sg*) My spending has increased
over time with my finances, but never to any point
that has hurt me. (My first cel was $125 and
thereafter for years the median price for my cels
was ~$50. Now I'm paying off my most expensive cel
ever at $275. A cel of the same character as the
first cel I ever bought. A cel I've been ogling in
a private gallery for nearly as many years as I've
been collecting, so I can't really complain. I've
gotten some incredible deals over the years.)

Cel collecting is my fun little leisure time hobby
so I try not to stress over it. If I'm really in
the mood for a cel, then I'll turn on my software
that keeps track of cel site updates, otherwise
that software remains off and I basically wander
around windowshopping at my pleasure. There have
been two times that I've gotten really upset over
losing a cel and in the end -- if years later-- I
ended up getting them both BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
*cough* So I really enjoy windowshop-- err
browsing through other people's galleries and I'll
get my own up some... year or other. ^^;
