Maybe I shouldn't admit this, but I've been an 
anime fan since Engineer Bill's cartoon hour (I 
*think* it was Engineer Bill) got me hooked on 
Astro Boy in 1964.

Lately I've been feeling like Elrond in Tolkien's 
Middle Earth, stnading and watching as the 
legions of the Princes and Princesses of 
humankind pass away before my eyes, seeing 
numerous people quit / retire / stop / disappear.
