Yeah....Like court said...Most of the great
collectors who have quit the game have let their
galleries waste into the sands of the vast
internet. Pretty much all you'll be able to find
is on the cels webring. You could also go
through the ol' Internet Guide to Anime Cels.
It's very outdated, but may hold some links that
have yet to disappear completely.

I myself am what I like to call "retired" ^^;!
I've stopped collecting like a maniac as I did
back in the ol' days. Now, I rarely indulge
myself with a new cel. I'm selling off nearly
all of my collection, and I hate to see them go,
but I'm sure others will be able ot enjoy them as
much as I have. I just had to bite the bullet,
and sell off what I definately couldn't see
myself framing and hanging on my wall for the
rest of my life.

Now, if I buy any type of cel, it's going to be
something that really speaks volumes to me, or is
a rare cel. I'm getting really partial to
hankens, and rare finds, so that really limits my
buying power since I don't have a ton of money to
go throwing around like I used to with a steady
income.

I think a lot of people are leaving the hobby for
several reasons. The image stealing/jealousy
reason is one of them...But not as prominent now
as it was about a year ago...Another reason is
that a lot of people don't have a steady income
to buy cels anymore...Myself included. Another
is that I think A LOT of the cel community is
made up of the people who I originally started
with...People around my own age...or close at
least^^;. We're sort of the "Seniors" in the
community, and right now I think that most of us
have reached a point in our lives where we are
moving on to other things that demand our
attention, and our money^^;!

So, even though a lot of people are leaving...I
do see a whole new "generation" of cel collectors
coming in to start their own run. I look forward
to seeing what they can bring into the cel
community why I still am able to hang around =)!
