A friend of mine in Japan apparently knew a guy
who was *THE* source for Sunrise cels.
Unfortunately, he had to buy about $1000 worth at
a time to make trips from Nakano(way up north) to
Tokyo worthwhile.

Not to metion this source wouldn't even think
about doing transactions less than $500 or so.

Anyways, the source showed him several cels and I
was semi interested in a few but my friend
couldn't find enough buyers to pool together.

Next time, the source showed my friend a bunch of
cels and I wish I could have gotten some from the
first batch then others from the 2nd! Drat!

Someone was advertising a "reverse auction" on
Yahoo about the time I was inquiring about Cnesch
cels.  

Sadly, the source thought my friend was trying to
just make money on YJ as opposed to finding
someone who really wanted it outside of Yahoo!

The cel he showed me, which was beautiful, is now
rotting somewhere in a werehouse, unloved and the
source refuses to go dig it up.
That's the sad part, knowing that a really nice
cel will most likely never surface. -_-

The happy part is recently I met a new friend who
is friends with numerous Sunrise animators.

He immidiately had a swath of cels he was willing
to offer me and he was willing to negotiate the
price with me.  Seeing how Seikai cel's popularity
exploded I got a fairly decent deal considering
the level of the cel.

What's driving me nuts is that my new friend found
YET ANOTHER dream cel of mine! @_@
